Dagens baghave:

Backyard of the Day:

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park, San Diego County, California

Anza-Borrego Desert State Park is California's largest state park, located in northeastern San Diego County, California

So, a funny thing happened today on our way out into the desert... Very funny.
April, who is apparently of the opinion that we do not have enough excitement in our daily lives, thought it would be tremendously entertaining to hang a note up in the camper window saying "Help, I am being held hostage." Very funny, don't you think? Especially a half hour later when we were pulled over alongside the highway by four (!) police cars with sirens and red and blue lights.

Very funny. Ha-ha.

I considered having all the police officers pose in front of all the police cruisers so I could take a picture for you, but since I didn't want to give the impression that I wasn't taking the situation seriously, you'll just have to use your imaginations.

Fortunately it wasn't too long before we were back on the road, so we could get to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park to see the desert bloom. Where you usually see sand and gravel and dry chaparral the wildflowers suddenly explode into color and life after rainy winters.
