Badlands National Park, Wall, Pennington County, South Dakota

Badlands National Park is located south of Wall, primarily in Pennington County, South Dakota.

We drove through South Dakota's Badlands this morning which, like North Dakota's Badlands were so called, because these were such difficult areas for the early pioneers to travel through, before roads were built.

Solopgang ~ Sunrise

The animals here seem more shy than those in the North Dakota Badlands. We saw a lot, but they kept their distance.

Gaffelbuk ~ Pronghorn
