Day Camping/Boondocking Information Santee Lakes is an excellent spot for day camping. Day use parking is $2.00 on weekdays, $4.00 on weekends. The park closes at dusk, but there is a campground with full hook-ups for stays of at least two nights. Facilities (outside campground): Restrooms Picnic tables Fishing Barbecue grills Hot coal receptacles Playgrounds Gazebos Horseshoes Bird watching Small store with internet cafe Dogs allowed (on leash) around lakes 6 and 7.
