Rattlesnake Canyon er en del af det område, der brændte i Witch Creek branden i 2007. I et par år påfølgende en skovbrand hersker de vilde blomster, indtil buskadserne gror til, og igen overtager det hele. Rattlesnake Canyon is part of the area that burned in the Witch Creek Fire in 2007. Day Camping/Boondocking Information Rattlesnake Canyon is a decent spot for day camping. Parking is curbside along a quiet residential road on the outskirts of town. There are no signs governing overnight camping or parking. We are not sure what the overall RV parking ordinances are in Poway, but the town does prohibit overnight RV parking at Walmart.
