Vi spiste frokost her på Hillbilly Hotdogs, en restaurant (!) der er lidt ud over det sædvanlige... No, we did not visit a junk yard in West Virginia. We had lunch here at Hillbilly Hotdogs, a restaurant (!) which is quite something else again...

"Bestil ædelse lie hær" ~ "Order grub rite cheer" Man kan bestille mad udenfor ved vinduet... You can order food outside by the window...     ...eller indenfor, hvor ejerne Sonny og Sharie synger en hotdog sang for kunderne. ...or inside, where the owners Sonny and Sharie will sing the hotdog song for you.         Kunderne får udleveret en tusch, så de kan signere vægge... møblement... andre kunder... Hvad de nu har lyst til! Customers are given a marker, so they can place their signature on the wall... furniture... other customers... anywhere!

På en eller anden måde fik April indsmigret sig til både en gratis bamse og en gratis jordbæris. Somehow April managed to sweet-talk her way into a free stuffie and a free strawberry ice cream cone.

Bussen fungerer som spisestue.... Og man skal endelig ikke lade sig narre af decor'et - maden er god! Deres hamburger er blevet udvalgt som West Virginias bedste. Og mæt skal man også nok blive - deres største hotdog vejer godt halvandet kilo. Deres største hamburger er på størrelse med et kloakdæksel, vejer næsten syv kilo og indeholder foruden bøffen 24 skiver ost, 24 tomater, to salathoveder, to løg og et kilo syltede agurker. Velbekomme! The bus functions as an extra dining room.... And don't be fooled by the decor - the food is excellent! Their hamburger has been named West Virginia's best. And for those who just can't get enough - their biggest hotdog weighs three and a half pounds. Their biggest hamburger is the size of a manhole cover, weighs fifteen pounds, and besides the beef it has 24 slices of cheese, 24 tomatoes, to heads of lettuce, two onions, and two pounds of pickles. Lunch is served!

Gul plet Fortil, Brun plet Bagtil..." Og hvor er onkel Thomas så lige, nu når vi har fundet en restaurant, der akkurat er ham!? "How does Maw tell her youngins how to put on their underwear? Yeller on the Front, Brown on the Back..." And where is uncle Thomas, I ask, now when we've found a restaurant that's SO exactly him!?
