Orange Empire Railway Museum,
Perris, Orange County, California

The Orange Empire Railway Museum
is located at 2201 South "A" Street in Perris, Orange
County, California

Orange Empire Railway Museum.
Og det gjorde vi så i dag. |
In the fall, when we visited the National
City Depot Museum, they recommended that we go to Perris
sometime, where they have the largest railroad museum in the western
United States, the Orange Empire Railway Museum.
Which is what we did today. |

omkringliggende minedistrikt. Kort efter, da jernbanen blev anlagt i
1882, blev Pinacate en af stationerne på ruten. Da stationen i
The area where the museum is
located is actually a ghost town called Pinacartee or Pinacate.
Pinacate was established around 1880 as supply center for the
surrounding mining district. Shortly after, when the railroad was
built in 1882, Pinacate became one of the stops on the line. When the
station in 1886 was moved north to the newly established town of
Perris, Pinacate was eventually abandoned and later engulfed by Perris. |
