Backyard of the Day:

Camino de la Costa Tidepools, La Jolla,
San Diego County, California

The Camino de la Costa Tidepools are located at the Camino de la Costa beach access
two blocks north of La Jolla Hermosa Park in La Jolla, San Diego, California.

We daycamped at the beach access stairs to the tide pools near Camino de la Costa in La Jolla.

Through erosion the ocean has molded and hollowed out the cliffs here, forming peculiar shapes as well as small tidepools, which are home to crustaceans and tiny fish.

The ocean has made caves, which can be reached by foot during low tide.
