Backyard of the Day:

Cabrillo Tide Pools
AKA Point Loma Tide Pools
Point Loma, San Diego County, California

The tide pools are located on the cliffs near the Cabrillo National Monument in Point Loma, San Diego County, California.

The rest of the day we camped at Cabrillo Tidepools. Unfortunately there aren't a whole lot of tidepools in the summer, because the low tide very uncooperatively makes its appearance in the middle of the night, so we had to settle for taking a walk and enjoying the surf. We'll be back this winter!

Der er blæretang...

There is bladder wrack...

...og så er der blæretang!

...and there's bladder wrack!

The only sea critters we saw were a couple of shore crabs. They are very tiny, about the size of a quarter, and they blend in well.
