Dos Palmas is an oasis in the Sonoran Desert in California, which in the past was the most important watering hole on the route through the desert. It was called Dos Palmas Oasis because two palm trees used to mark the spot. They have since multiplied to twentyseven.
It's a four-mile hike down to the oasis, and it is incredibly beautiful.
