We day camped in Rohr Park in Chula Vista today, and enjoyed the fact that all the promised rain turned out to be nothing more than a few drops here and there.

Rohr Park ligger omkring Rohr Manor.

Rohr Park surrounds Rohr Manor. The house was built in 1938 and purchased along with the park land in 1955 by Fred Rohr, owner of Rohr Aircraft Corporation. Fred Rohr originally established the park for his employees.

In the middle of the park is laid out a model train track, where members of the train club Chula Vista Steamers give the children train rides once a month.

At the far end of the park is the duck pond, which is actually a part of the adjacent golf course.
