Desert View Tower, Jacumba, California

The Desert View Tower is located at
1 In Ko Pah Park Road, Jacumba, CA 91934

We went to the Desert View Tower, which was built in the 1920's by Bert Vaughn, then owner of Jacumba. The tower is about 70 feet tall.
Across from the Desert View Tower lies a huge rockpile, whose boulders in the 1930's were painted to look like fantasy creatures and animals by an unemplyed engineer and artist named Ratcliffe.
Further up lies a viewpoint, which people around here like to call "Desert Spring".
