Backyard of the Day:

James Scripps Bluff Preserve, Del Mar,
San Diego County, California

James Scripps Bluff Preserve with Del Mar Dog Beach is located off Camino Del Mar at the mouth of the San Diego River in Del Mar, San Diego County, California.

Jubii!!!

Yeee-ha!!! The tourists have gone home, and finally we once again have the beaches of San Diego all to ourselves!
We day camped near Del Mar Dog Beach, right where the San Diego River naturally runs into the Pacific.

Krabbeklo ~ Crab Claw

The bluff that is located here is a preserve, and is one of relatively few left in San Diego.

Hurra for september!

Our "private" beach, which just two weeks ago was packed full of tourists.
Yeah for September!

The mouth of the San Diego River - the water runs from the other side of the road onto the beach.
