Manzanar War Relocation Camp, California

Manzanar War Relocation Camp, California, is a State Historic Site, located off Highway 395 in Owens Valley
between Independence and Lone Pine.

 

 

Ca. 10.000 japanere, de fleste af hvilke var amerikanske statsborgere, var interneret i Manzanar-lejren under anden verdenskrig og indtil først i 1950'erne.

About 10,000 Japanese, most of them American citizens, were interned in the Manzanar camp during World War II and until the early 1950s.
