Camping/Boondocking Information
Durango, Colorado, is difficult
for boondocking, although you are allowed to park your RV roadside
for three days, there are many roads and parking lots that are just
too small. Walmart in Durango does NOT allow overnight camping.
We did spend the night
boondocked in front of a small independent grocery store on the
outskirts of Durango, after obtaining permission from the clerk.
It is also worth noting that
there is an excellent laundry mat at College Plaza (corner 5th and
East 8th in Durango) which offers free wi-fi and they were not in a
hurry to herd us out of there after we were done washing. |
