March 16, 2007 Dansk tekst til venstre English text on the right Dagens baghave: Backyard of the Day: Tide Beach Park, Solana Beach, San Diego County, California Tide Beach Park is located where Pacific Avenue joins Solana Vista Drive in Solana Beach, San Diego County, California   I dag camperede vi ved Tide Beach Park i Solana Beach... ikke fordi det akkurat var strandvejr, men fordi det var et af årets laveste tidevande i dag. We day camped at Tide Beach Park in Solana Beach today... not because it was great beach weather, but because it was one of the lowest tides of the year.   Vi kom for tidligt. Tide Beach er stort set oversvømmet, medmindre der er ebbe, så vi holdt et par timers skole, mens vi ventede. We were too early. Tide Beach is largely flooded over, unless the tide is low, so we home schooled for a couple of hours while we waited.       Så kom lavvandet endelig ~ The low tide finally arrived       Tide Beach er fuld af huler og klippegrotter, som er oversvømmet, når det er højvande. The cliffs at Tide Beach are full of caves and grottos, which are completely flooded during high or normal tides.

Normal vandstand kan ses på algebevoksningen. You can judge the normal water level by the algae growth.   Der er masser af dyreliv i de små tidevands-søer... De var i gang med at filme ved stranden i dag. Vi ved ikke, hvad de filmede, men det involvede en stakkels fyr, der sad på stranden iført blik og aluminium i TIMEVIS. They were filming something at the beach today. We don't know, what they were filming, but it involved poor aluminum boy, who sat just like this for HOURS. De var vist ikke fra Hollywood... det ville jo ellers have været praktisk, så jeg kunne have udfoldet mine mange skjulte talenter for dem. I don't think they were from Hollywood... that sure would have been practical, so I could show them my many undiscovered talents.

Boondocking Information Tide Beach Park is a decent spot for day camping. There is no parking lot here, but nearby street parking was free, untimed, and plentiful. Facilities: Beach with lifeguard   More California Beaches Here More California Travel Information Here YESTERDAY TOMORROW
