Hun blev San Diegos officielle stadsgartner og plantede over 1000 træer i Balboa Park over ti år. Vi daycamped in Kate Sessions Park in Pacific Beach. Kate Sessions Park is named after Katherine Olivia "Kate" Sessions. She was born in 1857 and became a world renowned horticulturist. She became San Diego's official City Gardener and planted over 1000 trees in Balboa Park over ten years.
