Backyard of the Day:

Silver Strand State Beach, Coronado, San Diego, California

Silver Strand State Beach is located at 5000 Highway 75 in Coronado, San Diego County, California.

After Bazaar del Mundo we camped the rest of the day at Silver Strand State Beach. In the summer this is one of those beaches you can't get anywhere near for crowds.... In winter there often isn't a soul here, and by and large we had the place to ourselves.

Silver Strand State Beach covers both the seaside and the bayside of the sandspit to Coronado. Paths go from one side to the other under the highway, and we started out on the bayside.

På havsiden... på jagt efter muslingeskaller.

At the seaside... hunting for pretty seashells.
