La Maison Aurelie Bernard Aurelie Bernard Huset ~ The Aurelie Bernard House Dette hus er bygget omkring 1800, og blev udvidet omkring 1840. The attic was also used to store wheat.         La Maison Billeaud Billeaud-huset ~ The Billeaud House Dette hus er bygget før borgerkrigen, og er flyttet hertil fra Billeaud Sukkerplantage i Broussard. This house was built before the Civil War and was moved here from the Billeaud Sugar Plantation in Broussard.

Aftensmaden var lokale delikatesser på Lagneaux's Restaurant ikke langt herfra. Filosofien bag regionens madlavning synes at være alt godt fra havet, samt at man kan spise en gammel støvle, når bare den er paneret og friturestegt. April, som er det mest altædende, vi nogensinde har truffet på, gik til den med gusto! Mig? Jeg spiste kylling. Dinner was local delicatessen at Lagneaux's Restaurant, which is located not far from here. The philosophy behind Southern cooking seems to me to be seafood is king, and an old leather boot can be edible, so long as it's been breaded and deepfried. April, who is something of the most omniverous we've ever encountered, went to it with gusto! Me? I had the chicken.   Hmmm... Languster. Ikke dårligt. Og frølåret? Udmærket, smager li'som kylling... Hmmm... Crawfish. Not bad. And the frog leg? Very good, tastes like chicken...   ...men stegt alligator? Der satte hun alligevel grænsen. ...but fried alligator? That's where she drew the line.

Camping Information We're camping at a little RV area that belongs to Acadian Village. For $20.00 per night we have electric and water. There are no other amenities, but we have the place to ourselves, and it is clean, secluded and very nice and quiet.
