Catfish Cove, hvor vi fik os en vandretur, ligger på reservoirets "vilde" side, hvilket vil sige direkte modsat park-anlægget. Today we day camped at Catfish Cove, which is part of Dixon Lake in Escondido. Catfish Cove, where we went on a hike, is located on the "wild side" of the reservoir, meaning away from the developed area.       Som vi er blevet forvænt med på det sidste, skuffede forårsblomsterne bestemt ikke. As we have come to expect lately, the spring flowers were both beautiful and plentiful.

Day Camping/Boondocking Information Dixon Lake is an excellent spot for day camping. Gates are open 6 am. to sunset. There is a campground there as well for overnight camping (no pets). Camp sites are $20 a night for a without hook-ups, $25 with hook-ups. Facilities (on the developed side of the lake): Restrooms Fishing Snack bar Picnic areas Barbecues Campground $4.00 fee for entry (free over age 60) The undeveloped side of the lake has port-a-potties only.
