Skolen blev flyttet og var i mange år privatbeboelse, inden den blev flyttet tilbage, og restaureret til sit oprindelige udseende. We day camped at Encinitas' first school, which was built in 1883. The school was moved and served as a private residence for many years, before it was moved back and restored to its original form.     Selve museet lider under, at det også er et praktisk arbejdslokale, hvilket giver en del stilforvirring. Men docenterne og de mange gamle billeder var alletiders. The museum's interior suffers from the fact that it is also a functioning work space for the Historical Society. But the docents were excellent, and we loved the photos.
