officiate at the 7 p. m. ceremony.
Miss Smith is a graduate of
Port Neches - Groves High School and Lamar University. She is the
daughter of Thomas M. Smith and the late Mrs. Dianne Thompson Smith.
Her fiance is a graduate of
Thomas Jefferson High School and is attending Lamar University. He is
employed at Elliot Machine Shop, Inc. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs.
Arthur Portie."

was the setting for the Friday evening wedding of Susan Dianne Smith
and Dale Alan Portie. The Rev. Young Tucker was the officiant.
The bride was attended by
Gaylene Simon and JoAnn Parker. Completing the wedding party were
Kerry Holmes, Terry Holmes, Eric Schemayder, and Paul Patin.
A reception followed in the
Church fellowship hall with house party duties being shared by Kathy
Portie, Mrs. Wayne Dionne, and Janet Mitchell.
The bride is the daughter of
Thomas M. Smith and the late Dianne Thompson Smith. Parents of the
bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Portie."
