Transcript of Last Will and Testament of
Owen Jenkins

In the Name of God, Amen. I Owen Williams, of the Parish of Fairfax in Fairfax County and Colony of Virginia, being in perfect senses and memory do ordain this my last Will and Testament after the following Form and manner.
First I leave my Soul to God who gave it and my Body to the Earth from whence it came to be decently interred after the Rites and Ceremonies of the Episcopal Church of England of which I am & intend with the grace of God to die a Member.
And for what worldly Goods it has pleased the Almighty to bless me with, I give as follows.
I Give and bequeath to my well beloved Son Jeremiah Williams A tract of Land whereon he lives containing two hundred and eighty eight Acres with three Negroes, the one named Cato the second Jack, and the other Esther with their Increase, with what Stock and furniture he now possesses and one cow and calf, and one Bed and Furniture more of my Estate during his natural Life, and at his Decease to the Heirs lawfully begotten of his Body and for want of such Heirs, to return to Ann Jennings, and Jemima Jenkins to be equally divided between them and then descend to such of their Heirs as they shall think proper to give it to.
Item I give and bequeath to my well beloved Daughter Jemima Jenkins 2 young Negroes the one named Ewell the second named Hannah and Charles, one cow and calf, and the bed and Furniture I usually lie on with one half of the Plantation, Orchard, House, and Tract of Land I now live on and at her Mother's Decease the said Jemima Jenkins is to possess the whole Tract of Land and Premises with a bay horse called and known by the name of Buck.
Item I give and bequeath to my grand Daughter Elizabeth Jennings one Cow and Calf and one years Schooling.
Item I give and bequeath to my Daughter, Ann Jennings five Pounds to be made up out of the Crop of Tobacco that is inspected.
Item I leave the use of half of the Plantation and Houses I now possess with half of the Plantation on Tract of Land I leased of Mr. Sampson Dorrell to the use of my well beloved wife Kezia Williams, with the use of two Negroes, the one named Frank and the other Jacob, which Negroes and their Increase are at my wifes Decease to be equally divided between Jeremiah Williams and Jemima Jenkins and the heirs lawfully begotten of their Bodes, and for want of such to return to my Heirs at law.
Item I leave and bequeath the use of all the rest of my Stock of Cattle, dogs, horses, sheep And house Furniture to her proper use during her natural Life; and after her Decease, it is my Will that her part of this my Estate be equally divided, between Elizabeth Jennings and Robert Jennings, and Ann Jennings Daughter of Daniel Jennings and Jemima Jenkins. In Witness whereof I have subscribed my Name and act my Seal this 1 day of April in the Year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and 69.
