WOODEN WEDDING

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gares Given Happy Surprise by Friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gares were delightfully surprised Thursday evening by a large circle of friends in honor of their wooden wedding anniversary. The palatial home of the happy couple was beautifully decorated with ferns and roses tied with bows of white satin ribbon.
While toasts were made by Mr. Estopinal and Albert Six the band played the march from "Lohingrin," after which the younger set indulged in dancing and refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Gares were the recipients of many handsome and useful presents. The following friends participated in the pleasant surprise: Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gares, Mr. and Mrs. John Luquel, Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Hoffman, Miss L. Molaisson, Mr. and Mrs. J. Lee, Mrs. D.
