ENJOYABLE SURPRISE PARTY

A surprise party was given last Thursday, Aug. 12, in honor of Mrs. D. Rando, of 2130 South Franklin. There was a jolly crowd on hand, and an enjoyable evening was spent. The home was beautifully decorated with palms. Refreshments were served. An orchestra was on hand, and all the latest and popular airs were played. Mrs. Rando received some beautiful presents. Those present were: Mrs. D. Rando, Mrs. Henry Rando, Mrs. R. Fourcade, Mrs. E. Fourcade, Mrs. F. Calrone [sic], Mrs. P. Brown, Mrs. A. Kessler, Mrs. L. Wertz, Miss M. Tranchina, Miss F. Donovan, Miss J. Daunoy, Miss A. Fourcade, Miss L. Fourcade, Miss Laura Nickalaus, Lucille Nickalaus, M. D. Rando, Henry Rando, N. Rando, P. Rando, R. Fourcade, P. Brown, J. Tranchina, L. Tuesday, Jan. 18, a grand reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. D. Rando, 2130 South Franklin Street, in honor of their guest, Miss Cecile Cousin, of Bayou Lacomb, La. The spacious parlors were beautifully decorated with ferns and flowers, while the lawn presented a beautiful sight from the light of so many Japanese lanterns. Refreshments were served and dancing lasted until a late hour. The guests were: Misses Cecile Cousin, Lucile Nickolaus, Annette Caronne [sic], Marie and Jennie Mandella, Marie Tranchina, Ernie and Louise Fourcade, Machina, Ernie, Louise and Marie Fourcade, Lillian Wilson, Laura Nickolaus, Lydia Nickolaus, Messrs. Peter Rando, Morphy [sic] Rando, Johnny Miller, Henry Williams, Theo Foerster, Frank Wilson, Philip Nickolaus, Frank Meistmer, George Mandella, Joe Tranchina, Nic Mandella, Louis Fourcade, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Kessler, Mr. and Mrs. Rene Fourcade, Mr. and Mrs. Felix Coronne [sic], Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rando, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Petrie, Mr. and Mrs. D.
