McCain Valley is located
in San Diego County, California, and can be reached by taking McCain
Valley Road
from Olde Highway 80 in Boulevard
(Highway 94 East will
turn into Olde Highway 80)
The McCain Valley was discovered in the 1850s by George Washington McCain who came from Arkansas in a prairie wagon with a wife and eight kids and a huge herd of cattle. They settled in the valley when the wagon got bogged down there, and the McCain family continued to live in the area until the 1980's.
