Heritage Park Victorian Village is a collection of Victorian houses which have been moved here from their original locations. It also holds San Diego's first synagogue. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Heritage Park Victorian Village er en samling Victorianske huse, som er blevet flyttet hertil fra deres oprindelige byggesteder. Bushyhead House ~ 1887 Built by Edward Wilkerson "Ned" Bushyhead as a rental. Ned Bushyhead was sheriff and chief of police in San Diego, and also owned The San Diego Union, which is still the local newspaper today. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Bygget af Edward Wilkerson "Ned" Bushyhead til udlejning. Sherman - Gilbert House ~ 1887 Built by John Sherman, a cousin of William Tecumseh Sherman, renowned general in the Confederate Army. The house was bought about 1892 by sisters Bess and Gertrude Gilbert, patrons of art and music, and in this house hosted performances by such internationally famous entertainers as Anna Pavlova, who danced in the music room, and Arthur Rubinstein, who came here to play the piano. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Bygget af John Sherman, en fætter til William Tecumseh Sherman, velkendt general for Sydstaterne i borgerkrigen. Temple Beth Israel ~ 1888 Built by the Congregation Beth Israel, which held their first service here in 1889.
